New dressing table

Hello! Hope you all are having a nice weekend. I have the day all to myself as David is working, going to go for a walk by the seafront and later I´m going to s small village nearby to celebrate a friend´s birthday so that should be fun.

Just wanted to show you my birthday pressie to myself, haha. I found this 30s (?) dressing table in one of the antique shops in Margate and just instantly fell in love and the price was not bad either. At the moment it is painted in a light mint colour but might repaint it white at some point, or what do you think? The only downside with it is that it still smells of turpentine, any ideas of how to get rid of that? I´m so happy with it though and just wish our flat was a bit bigger so I could get a nice chair to go with it, but might have to hold off for a while :)

I love this, what a great find. I wish I knew how to get rid of the turpentine scent, I hate the smell of turpentine.

Åh vad fin!!Jag skulle hålla den precis som den är och inte måla om den. Och terpentinlukt sägs kunna tas bort med starksprit så du kan ju alltid prova om du har lite vodka liggandes hemma:-)

That dressing table is gorgeous! It makes me realize I need some more vintage furniture in my home! About the turp smell, I wish I could help but I have no idea how to get rid of it.
